About
Two stunning examples, made ten years apart, of a wine that captures Château Ksara’s historic legacy
The 2003: The wine has a surprisingly youthful, deep garnet color for its age. On the nose it has intense, constantly-evolving, aromas of violets and blackcurrant. In the mouth, the wine is full, rounded and velvety with flavours of black fruit, licorice, dried figs and prunes. It is still amazingly youthful, pure and elegant with the ability to age even further.
The 2013 has a beautiful ruby color. On the nose it is rich, deep and fresh with typical Cabernet aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, wood shavings, toast and cloves. In the mouth, the wine is defined by structure, concentration, balance and complexity. There is beautiful spice and ripe fruits as well as some figs, coffee, pork meat and leather.
These are wines that showcase the quality and character of three of the world’s greatest grapes – Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot – when they are planted in the high-altitude vineyards of the Bekaa Valley, delivering freshness and complexity.
